We are pleased to say we have successfully been funded by the Energy Redress fund to offer energy advice. We have an energy project which we are currently delivering. We would like to expand our advice offering and reach out to as many people as we can in the Bradford District, as you will be aware with the increased energy costs and the upcoming Autumn and Winter months, this will have an impact on households.

Our energy advisers can offer a variety of help and support. Its aim is to provide one to one/group energy advice to fuel poor and vulnerable people who are struggling with managing their fuel costs. The idea is to ensure they have savings on fuel costs, reduction in bills, improved income/health in the short and longer term.

The energy advisers cover all aspects of energy advice related issues, and they can help with a whole range of matters including:

  • Understanding tariffs, bills and fuel options including switching methods
  • Providing advice on energy efficiency measures, energy saving behavioural change and thermal efficiency measures
  • Identifying grants available including Energy Company Obligation (ECO), Warm Homes Discount Scheme (WHD) etc, rebates available from energy suppliers and the Priority Services Register
  • Support with complaints or customer service issues with an energy company
